Gesher began classes in its current, state-of-the-art facility on September 10, 2007. Designed to meet the academic mission of our community day school, our building still has many naming opportunities available, from the Chadar Ochel (cafeteria) to naming the school itself, and many other needs and furnishings in between that have yet to be fulfilled.
Gesher is situated on 57 beautiful acres, a perfect setting for a school and future day camp facility. Our campus is a wonderful setting for playgrounds, ball fields and other athletic facilities. There are many other community opportunities available for our campus in the future.
The $15 million project has been divided into two phases: Phase I accommodates 340 students. For Phase II, Gesher plans to grow the school to its maximum capacity of 540 students. Anchored by a breath-taking Jerusalem-inspired wall, our modern building houses a stunning library, a technology center, a gymnasium, stage, cafeteria, science center and classrooms designed to meet our small group learning approach. The cornerstone of the design is the Beit Midrash, a round, light-filled space for T'fillot and Judaic learning. The design seeks to connect to the land of Israel with the front facade that mimics the color and feel of Jerusalem.
While we have reached 75% of our campaign goal for Phase I, we still have a ways to go and encourage you to visit the school and explore the many naming opportunities (insert link to naming opportunities here) that are still available.
