30th Anniversary Spring Gala
We would be honored to have you join us on May 20 for Gesher's 30th Anniversary Spring Gala
The goals of the Gala are to raise funds for Gesher's scholarship program and to honor special individuals who make Gesher such a wonderful school.
We are thrilled to announce our 30th Anniversary Spring Gala Honorees, Senator Joseph and Hadassah Lieberman and this year, we are also honoring three of Gesher's outstanding faculty and one staff member:
Sharon Rosenblatt: Having taught at the school from its inception to the present, Sharon is being honored as an outstanding educator and a veteran heart and soul of Gesher!
Judy Gabel and Esther Uscher: It is fitting that we honor a first grade team that is second to none! Please join us at the Gala to send Judy and Esther into retirement with well wishes from all the parents at Gesher!
Meredith Parnes: Meredith is the centerpiece of our smooth running school and it is no wonder that she is beloved by all. Join us in celebrating Meredith’s bat mitzvah year at Gesher!
Sara Rosenthal, our Tikkun Olam Alumni Award Winner, 2012. Sara, Gesher JDS Sixth Grade Class of 2000, W.T. Woodson High School Class of 2006, and University of Virginia Class of 2010, is the daughter of Carol Gordon and Steve Rosenthal. Sara was chosen for her work on behalf of Grassroot Soccer in Cape Town, South Africa, from August 2010-August 2011, a non-profit that uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to stop the spread of HIV, with the ultimate goal of creating an AIDS-free generation. What a wonderful, hands-on example of making the world a better place!
