Summer Reading List 2008
Beginning with rising first graders, Gesher students have required summer reading. Summer reading books are used for class reading and writing assignments at the beginning of the year. Therefore, these books may either be above or below an individual student’s independent reading level. If the assigned summer reading is above a student’s reading level, they will need additional support to complete their reading. They can read with a parent, a parent can read to them or they can listen to the book on tape. All students in third grade and higher are required to own copies of the summer reading in order to bring the books to school for assignments. Please buy the books for the grade your student will be entering in September. Books can be purchased through Amazon, barnesandnoble.com, Borders bookstores and borders.com.
