Mishpachat Gesher is Gesher's active, vibrant Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).

The PTO works to support our faculty and staff, and assists with a variety of school programs. We organize a number of fun events every year from Apples and Honey for Rosh Hashanah to the End-of-Year School Picnic -- and everything in between. Every Gesher family is a member of Mishpachat Gesher and we want to invite you to both join in the fun and help build and strengthen our community.

Our plans for each year include activities for families, students, and the faculty and staff.  Room parents coordinate casual get togethers.  We celebrate holidays by giving out apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah, doughnuts for Chanukah, and ice cream for Shavuot.  We also organize school-wide activities at which parents are welcomed, like the Purim Carnival and Yom Haatzmaut celebration. Friday features “Get Caught Wearing Purple” where students are encouraged to wear purple or white to celebrate our Gesher Spirit and to welcome Shabbat.  We raise funds to support the purchase of equipment and supplies for the school.  We celebrate our teachers during our annual Teacher Appreciation Week.

All this and much more is only made possible through the involvement of our fabulous Gesher parents. Please volunteerWe have all types of projects and would welcome your expertise and energy for projects both during the school day and at other times.  It’s a great way to get involved, get to know the school, and make a difference in your community!

We wish every family a wonderful year at Gesher!
